AI Statement
How Famous uses AI across its studio, engineering, and client work — and where human judgment remains the constant.
Famous uses AI as a functional layer within systems — not as a replacement for judgment, accountability, or expertise. Where AI is involved in work we deliver, it is part of a defined process with clear human oversight at every decision point that matters. We do not delegate strategy, editorial direction, or client outcomes to models operating without review.
Any output generated with AI assistance — whether in design, writing, code, or analysis — is reviewed by a senior practitioner before it reaches a client or is considered final. The presence of AI in a workflow does not reduce the standard of review; it changes the starting point, not the responsibility. The partner reviewing the work is accountable for what is delivered.
We do not use AI to automate decisions that require human judgment — including scoping, pricing, staffing, editorial positioning, or client strategy. We are cautious about any system that operates without an identifiable decision-maker. If a process runs autonomously, it is one we have tested, understood, and can override.
We do not submit client confidential information, personal data, or proprietary materials to third-party AI systems without explicit client agreement. Internal workflows using AI are scoped to non-sensitive inputs unless appropriate controls are in place. We review this position as the capabilities and privacy posture of AI tooling continue to evolve.
Where Famous builds or deploys AI systems for clients — including retrieval pipelines, inference infrastructure, and automated decision tools — each system is scoped to the specific use case. We define clear boundaries for what the system can and cannot do, build in override mechanisms, and include monitoring appropriate to the stakes of the application. We do not treat general-purpose models as production-ready without context-specific evaluation.
This statement reflects our current practice. As AI capabilities, tooling, and best practices develop, we expect to update it. We publish it not as a compliance document but as a straightforward account of how we work. If you have questions about AI use in the context of a specific engagement, raise them directly.
